Charleston Inner-City Thanksgiving Dinner In The Park

Again this year, Without Walls Ministry (a para-church inner-city outreach ministry) will be holding a Thanksgiving Banquet in Hampton Park to show the love of Jesus to the hungry and poor of the inner-city of Charleston, SC on Thanksgiving Day (November 27th). 

Deuteronomy 15:11 "For the poor will never cease
from the land; therefore I command you, saying,
'You shall open your hand wide to your brother,
to your poor and your needy, in your land.'


Volunteer Needs: We are asking for 150 volunteers to spend 4 hours (9am – 1pm) to serve and share the love of Christ to our guest. Additional volunteers for flyer distribution, site set-up, clean-up, drivers and food warm up team;  Thanksgiving decorations; table cloths; musical talent; funds for tents, tables, chairs, port-a-pots, garbage cans, plates, cups, drinks, silverware, ice, napkins; and more…

Physical/Clothing Needs: We want to also provide blankets, coats, hats, and gloves at this year’s Thanksgiving Outreach to help to bring some warmth to those who are truly destitute, so if you or your group would like to donate item(s) needed please contact Diane Hudson (843) 729-7877, dhudson@comcast.net. 

Food/Cooking Needs: If you or your group can cook and provide any portion of the below menu items, please contact Laura Rayl @ (843) 408-6000 or llrayl@yahoo.com to advise what menu item(s) you will provide.

(Containers should be disposable aluminum cooking pans of a size of 16-19”Lx12”Wx3”H - this size feeds approx. 40-50 servings per container).  These are sold at great prices with lids at Party City in West Ashley.
